What Will You Do at TPH?

A TPH Plumber (or Apprentice Plumber) reports to the Site Supervisor/Foreman or Dispatcher and is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, testing, and certification of all plumbing systems and components.

• Use trade expertise to prepare all relevant safe work practice, documentation, procedures, and emergency response protocols to ensure quick and effective response in case of emergency

• Able to work in compliance and with understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act

• Perform after-hours emergency service calls or have after-hours work availability

• Respond to client service calls in a timely and quality manner

• Provide for installation of pipes, fitting, equipment, and fixtures

• Writing and reading installation manuals, fill forms and reports

• Ensure that all gas installation are in conjunction with all applicable codes and best practices

• Access appropriate information to source and order materials needed for installation, repair, and maintenance of gas/piping system

The Project Manager is responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget.

• Attend project meetings, conferences, corporate events, and training as required

• Consistent open communication with Site Supervisor’s and ensure quality work by doing regular site visits

• Preparation of monthly progress billing and prepare monthly progress updates with upper management

• Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other employees throughout the company

• Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels

What Will You Do at TPH?

The Lean Six Sigma Professional is responsible for managing Lean Six Sigma projects to ensure quality, reduce variation, improve process efficiency, and ensure that all performance improvement targets are met.

• Assisting the leadership team in the deployment and implementation of Lean Six Sigma projects to enhance operational performance.

• Work closely with the executive team to identify key business improvement opportunities and align Lean Six Sigma initiatives with company objectives. Act as a link between the organization’s Six Sigma improvement program and the executive leadership team.

• Guide and mentor Green Belts and other team members in data analysis, project management, and problem-solving methodologies.

• Conduct process analysis to reduce waste, enhance quality, and improve overall efficiency within company operations.

• Facilitate Kaizen and Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs), encouraging cross-functional collaboration to solve complex business problems.

What will you do at TPH?

As a Jr. VDC Student at TPH, you will build fabrication quality models for all types of piping systems then enjoy seeing your work become reality in our pre-fabrication shop and on site.

• Assist our VDC lead in designing plumbing and mechanical systems following local codes, project documents, and the company’s standard operating procedures

• Using BIM capabilities, develop system drawings per company standards

• Produce coordination drawings

• Produce shop/spool drawings for fabrication

• Prepare As-Built drawings

• Assist with survey layouts (sleeving, anchors, underground)

• Assist with the identification and resolution of field technical issues

• Read and interpret construction documents

• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by VDC Lead

During your placement as a Student Jr. Estimator, you will provide support to the estimation department by helping to calculate the scope and costs of various projects.

• Provide quotation, material breakdowns, and assist in development of future projects

• Shop drawings

• Review projects to develop win strategy

• Resolve and/or assist in resolving contract issues as they arise

• Maintain and improve mechanisms for obtaining opportunities, surveying and measuring tender process and provide feedback as needed

• Perform quantity takeoffs including entry into the computer estimating system

• Review all bid documents to ensure all bid requirements are met

• Assemble all elements of an estimate including a lead sheet to summarize all the elements

• Prepare bid forms and submissions for a tender call or proposal

• Provide detailed labour breakdowns for each area to assist with budget creation and management of project

• Assist in the development of an estimating plan to establish estimate/proposal strategies
